Help and troubleshooting

Palmtop support

These checks resolve the most common early-access problems. If you still need help, send the build number, phone model and steps that produced the issue. Never send passwords or API keys.

01

The APK will not install

Check Android 7.0+, ARM64 support and free storage. Android may ask for permission to install from your browser. An app installed from Google Play may have a different signing certificate; back up data before switching channels.

02

First setup takes time

The APK unpacks a Debian environment together with Desk and Notebook. Keep enough free space, leave the app open while setup completes, and check the in-app Environment or Diagnostics screen if setup stops.

03

An AI provider is unavailable

Confirm the selected connection and model in the app. A connected account or API key may be required for some providers. Free services can have capacity or rate limits. Provider charges and data handling follow that provider's terms.

04

An update is offered

Website builds notify you when a newer website release is active. Download and installation require your action. Keep the current app and project data until the update completes; see the release notes before changing channels.

05

Contact and privacy

Email the developer for product support. Include the Palmtop version, Android version, device model and a short reproduction sequence. For data questions, read the privacy and deletion guides linked below.
