Palmtop Data Deletion
The Palmtop mobile app stores its workspace locally and does not require a Palmtop account. Palmtop is developed and published by Roman Savin. These instructions cover local data and explain the limits of deletion for external services.
Delete local Palmtop data
- To remove one project and its associated Palmtop chat/state records, open Projects in Palmtop, open the project's menu, and choose Delete project. This does not clear app-wide runtime or cache copies.
- To remove a saved provider API key and local account metadata, open provider settings and disconnect that provider.
- To remove the local diagnostic log, use the in-app clear action when it is present in the installed version.
- On Android, to remove all app-private projects, chats, imported photo copies, browser data, credentials, runtime files, and diagnostics, open Settings, select Apps, choose Palmtop, and clear its storage. Uninstalling Palmtop also removes its Android app sandbox.
- On iPhone or iPad, delete Palmtop through iOS Settings or the Home Screen to remove its app container. Offloaded apps can retain documents and data, so choose Delete App when complete local removal is intended.
Copies outside app storage
Deleting a project or clearing Palmtop does not remove files previously exported, shared with another app, or synchronized to a user-selected folder. Delete those copies from the receiving app or folder.
AI providers, websites, and system services
Clearing local data does not delete prompts, attachments, photos, tool results, browser data, authentication records, or other content already received by a selected AI provider, custom endpoint, website, Android speech-recognition service, or receiving app. Use the deletion controls or contact channel supplied by that service. Palmtop cannot access or delete data held in a user's third-party account or custom endpoint and does not promise a provider-side retention period.
Accounts and provider connections
Palmtop does not require or create a first-party Palmtop account in the current mobile release. Signing in to Codex / ChatGPT, OpenCode services, or another provider connects a third-party account; it does not create a Palmtop account. Disconnecting removes Palmtop's local connection, but it does not delete the third-party account. Use that provider's account and privacy controls to request provider-side deletion.
AI content reports
A report submitted through the in-app "Report answer" action is stored in the Palmtop developer moderation service for no more than 180 days. It is not deleted by clearing local app storage because it was already sent to the developer at the user's request. For earlier deletion, email the developer with the approximate submission date and enough of the reported response to identify the record. Do not include account credentials, provider keys, or unrelated chat history.
Contact the developer
For deletion of information that you intentionally sent to Palmtop's developer in a support or privacy email, or for help identifying the applicable deletion path, email [email protected] with the subject "Palmtop data deletion request". Do not send provider API keys, authorization tokens, or other secrets in the request.
